The design of open-world, mission-based and multi-level games resembles a complex puzzle, with solutions changing depending on the player’s actions. This type of strategy can be transferred to the real world, as a study published in 2013 found that children who played strategy-based games were more likely to achieve better grades the following year. Furthermore, these types of games are a great way to increase physical activity.

    Game Boy

The Game Boy is an 8-bit handheld game console. It was first released in Japan on April 21, 1989. Later, the Game Boy was released in North America and Europe.

    Nintendo X-Box

Unlike the Nintendo DS, Xbox has a store where users can purchase games. However, the games aren’t as cheap as their rivals. Moreover, the Xbox uses an internal storage of 1 TB and can fill up very quickly. The Switch, on the other hand, has a smaller storage capacity than Xbox. Despite this, it’s more versatile than the Xbox and has three different modes of gaming.

    Sony Playstation III

The Sony Playstation III gaming system is an all-in-one gaming machine that supports digital entertainment, including video games. Its unique design features a specially designed Cell processor. Sony, Toshiba, and IBM worked together to create this chip, which is scalable for different applications and crams 234 million transistors onto a single die.

    Microsoft X-Box 360

The Xbox 360 is a gaming console by Microsoft. This console was released in the US on November 16, 2007, Europe on December 2nd, and Japan on December 10th. It was the fastest gaming console release in history. It features two versions, a full unit for $399 USD, and a lower priced system that comes without the games and many accessories.

    Web-based games

Web-based gaming has become a common way to play games online. These games usually use Flash or animation programs to give players a cartoon-like experience. These games are largely ad-supported, which means that developers make a lot of money through advertising and user interaction.

    MMOGs

MMOGs are online video games featuring massive numbers of players. Typically, they have hundreds or even thousands of players, and feature an open world with a persistent setting. While the majority of MMOGs are very similar to one another, some are far more unique than others.

    Cloud gaming

Cloud gaming uses the power of the internet to stream video games to your local computer. Instead of spending money on hardware, you only need a stable broadband connection and a decent game. Most Cloud Gaming services charge a monthly or yearly subscription, but some offer free games. The downside is that you need a high-speed internet connection to access them.
