Jay&Joy unveils ‘Justine’: the ethical and plant-based alternative to cream cheese, perfect for simple, savoury and sweet recipes that are both healthy and indulgent!

Jay&Joy, a pioneer in vegan cheese alternatives, announces the launch of Justine in the UK – a smooth, easy-to-use, and perfectly spreadable 100% plant-based cream cheese. Justine astounds with its intense creaminess and spreadable texture, inspiring creativity offering endless possibilities in the kitchen.

Justine is a 100% plant-based cream cheese, crafted from a select list of organic, high-quality ingredients. This versatile product is the essential ingredient to enhance easy home-cooked recipes all year round: from simple open sandwiches to decadent cheesecakes, and everything in between including dips, maki rolls, pasta sauce, risottos, and toppings – Justine can do it all. With a creamy spreadable texture that holds up perfectly during cooking, it’s ideal for both hot and cold dishes.

Justine – The Must-Have Spread for Every Kitchen

Justine is a 100% plant-based product, made from almonds, lactose-free, gluten-free, and soy-free, certified organic and vegan, crafted with quality ingredients which are responsibly sourced. Its French production supports local agriculture that respects the environment. As a fermented product, Justine benefits from natural preservation, without additives or preservatives. Justine comes in a convenient 125g format with a 30-day shelf life.

César Augier, CEO of Jay&Joy: “With Justine, our new plant-based alternative to cream cheese, we are proud to offer a versatile product that combines creaminess, a delicate flavour and ethical commitment. Justine embodies our desire to revolutionise cooking with quality ingredients that are environmentally friendly and make no compromise on taste. We are confident that this product will inspire bold and delicious every day recipes while supporting sustainable agriculture.“

Justine is priced at £3.28 RRP and is available from online retailers as well as several independent stores in the UK including VeganKind.

    The Jay&Joy complete product range

With Justine included, Jay&Joy’s product range continues to offer a diverse selection of plant-based options for consumers:

    • 4 aged cheeses: Josephine (plant-based alternative to Brie), Jeanne (plant-based alternative to Blue cheese), Jil (plant-based alternative to Goat cheese), Jean-Jacques (plant-based washed-rind cheese).
    • 3 fresh cheeses: Juliette (plant-based alternative to grated Emmental), Janis (plant-based alternative to Feta).

These products are all made from a short list of high-quality certified organic and vegan ingredients offering a high-quality plant-based alternative to the market – a commitment that was recently recognised when Jay&Joy received double honours at the prestigious Plant Based World Expo Europe in London. The plant-based alternative to blue cheese, ‘Jeanne’, stole the spotlight with two major distinctions at the Plant Based Excellence Awards: ‘Best Plant-Based Cheese Alternative’ in the Dairy Alternatives Cheese category and second place overall for the ‘Best of 2024’ award.

Jay&Joy products are available from select independent stores and online retailers including Abel&Cole, Alternativestores, VeganKind, Earth Natural Foods and Village Wholefood.
