Esports is a competitive video game industry that has become a popular pastime around the world. The industry is projected to grow significantly in the coming years. Whether you’re watching or playing esports yourself, it’s a great way to immerse yourself in the action and enjoy some quality time with friends.

There’s an increasing number of educational establishments offering bolt-on courses and intros into esports so that you can have a go at it yourself if you want to. Some of these courses include event organisation, casting, marketing and PR as well as a range of other topics.

It’s a great way to get involved in gaming and it’s also a fantastic opportunity to network with people from the industry and see how they’re working. It’s also a good way to improve your skills, build confidence and learn some new techniques while having fun.

Taking part in esports can be a fantastic experience for students, and it’s becoming more popular as schools look to incorporate extracurricular activities into the curriculum. Unlike many other sports, esports can be played remotely so students don’t have to worry about having to travel in order to compete.

The competitions are also a great way to meet other students from your school and build connections that could last a lifetime. Some schools are even arranging their own tournaments.

A number of esports teams are being formed in schools across the UK and this is encouraging young people to take up gaming as a serious hobby and a career option. It’s a great way for students to develop their confidence, communication skills and teamwork.

Schools are also able to purchase esports licenses for games like Rocket League and play them in school leagues. The fees are typically around $20 each when purchased in a package of 150 licences. This is less than the cost of a standard sports kit and it could be a worthwhile investment for your student’s future.

The industry is growing rapidly and is attracting a lot of interest from students and parents alike. In addition to boosting confidence and enhancing other life skills, it can be a lucrative industry for players, with revenue expected to reach $906 million worldwide by 2019.

You don’t have to be an elite athlete in real-life sport to make a name for yourself in esports either. Just make sure you’re dedicated and willing to put in the effort.

There are a wide variety of esports titles to choose from and they all have their own competitive scenes and communities. This is where you’ll find the best players and teams in your favourite game, and you can follow their progress through official online esports websites.

As a result, it’s now possible to see the best of esports from all over the world at large scale events. This includes major international tournaments like the Intel Extreme Masters and League of Legends World Championship. These events draw huge audiences and are attended by millions of fans who tune in to watch the action.
