Research shows that 80% of teenagers play at least five types of games. RPGs and MMOGs are among the most popular games for teens. But why are gamers so drawn to these genres? What are the benefits of playing these games? Here are some examples. In addition to helping teens stay healthy, they help develop problem-solving skills.

80% of teens play five or more different game genres

According to recent research, 80% of teenagers play five or more different game genres, and daily gamers tend to play a greater variety than less-frequent gamers. While girls tend to play six or fewer types of games, boys are slightly more likely to play more than eight.

Teens play different types of video games for different reasons. Many enjoy playing alone, but others like social interaction. Many report a lack of social support and low self-esteem. Those who play video games for personal development are more likely to interact online with other gamers and report feeling more positive about themselves.

    80% of boys play RPGs

According to statistics, 80% of boys play role-playing games (RPGs). They play these games because they are interesting and they make learning a fun activity. The rules and strategies of these games require reading and math. Players must keep track of things like health points and how they use spells and magic. They also have to consider probability, which is an important aspect of these games. Even younger kids can benefit from playing these games.

Interestingly, boys play a wider variety of games than girls. In fact, girls report playing games in six genres on average, while boys report playing games in eight genres. Among the genres they play, there are also slight differences in the preferences of boys and girls. For example, boys report playing more strategy and simulation games, while girls play fewer role-playing games.

    80% of girls play RPGs

There are many differences between boys and girls when it comes to the genre of video games that they play. While boys tend to be more active gamers, girls are just as likely to play a wide variety of games. They are equally likely to enjoy racing games, rhythm games, simulation games, and virtual worlds. The main differences between boys and girls are in the genre of puzzle games, which girls play more often than boys.

There are several factors that can help explain this. Girls are likely to enjoy games that are relaxing and fun. Girls are also more likely to play games that require concentration.

    80% of teens play MMOGs

Many teens, especially boys, play MMOGs. In fact, about one in five of all teens has played a MMOG at some point. Although MMOGs are more popular among boys, girls are just as likely to play them. Of the total teen population, thirty percent of boys and eleven percent of gaming girls have played MMOGs at least once.

The number of teens who play MMOGs continues to rise. More than 80% of teens play at least one game every day, and more than one-third of MMOG players spend three or more hours playing them every day. In addition to playing MMOGs, teens also enjoy other genres of computer games.

    80% of teens play RPGs

In the past few years, the popularity of RPGs has soared, with 80% of all teens claiming to have played at least one RPG. Many of these games involve reading rules and math, and even some involve journaling. Players keep track of things like health points and magic usage, and they’ll often calculate probabilities. They like to know if the odds are in their favor before they make a decision. These games can also be enjoyed by younger children, with some caution.

RPGs promote teamwork. They are social, too. Traditional tabletop games have multiple losers and winners. RPGs promote collaboration by presenting shared goals and risks. The result is more civil interaction.
