These games can be played by teams and individual players, and they can also be played in person. Most esports events are broadcast live, and spectators can watch the matches on streaming platforms. The biggest esports events in the world include the League of Legends Championship, which sold out 40,000 seats in Seoul’s World Cup Stadium, and the Dota 2 world finals, which had 43 million viewers.

    In the early 1990s, video game organizations were formed. Nintendo and Blockbuster Video organized tournaments. Today, there are hundreds of gaming organisations. Many of them have multiple teams, and each team specializes in a different video game. They also usually have a coach, managers, and personal trainers. These teams are responsible for fostering a healthy relationship between gaming and mental health.

    Esports organizations have a cult-like following. These fans can travel around the world to see their favorite esports tournaments. Over 60% of esports fans are willing to travel to watch their favorite teams and players. They can also use their favorite esports tournaments as a way to earn a living. These tournaments often include a large prize pool, with prizes totaling tens of millions of dollars.

    Esports is becoming more popular in the US and Europe. According to Superdata, the esports economy will grow to $2.3 billion in 2022. There are 380 million viewers globally who watch esports competitions. The largest tournaments, such as League of Legends’ world finals, draw nearly as many viewers as the NBA Finals’ Game 7 in 2016.

    These competitions are a great way to stimulate economic growth. They can also bring in employment, which is a great benefit to cities, especially when a large fan base is created. The NBA has invested in esports, and the NFL is reportedly hiring a head of esports. Several conventional sports teams have also begun to field their own esports teams. In addition to these teams, major non-endemic brands have started to get involved in the esports space.

    There are many different types of esports organizations, and each one has its own unique style and personality. Some of the top esports organisations include Fnatic, G2 esports, Team Liquid, and Team SoloMid. These organisations typically have teams that specialize in different games, and they have partners and contracts with companies to fund their teams.

    Professional players dedicate their lives to esports. They may have coaches, psychologists, and other specialists on staff. These teams have a cult-like following, which means they can reap rewards from their fans.
